What is the Irish Caribbean Lives Newsletter?

I am a historian currently writing a book that traces the experiences of twelve Irish men and women in the Caribbean during the Revolutionary Era (c.1770–1840). This newsletter contains regular updates on my progress as I research, write and publish the book.

I publish as inspiration strikes rather than on a regular schedule. Expect to hear from me monthly(ish).

Why subscribe?

Since I began researching Irish Caribbean connections in 2015, I’ve connected with many descendants of ‘my’ Irish sojourners, as well as scholars and devotees of Irish history. I’ll share my fascinating archival finds, remarkable stories, and connect you with a like-minded community around the world. Subscribe to ensure you never miss an update.

Stay up-to-date

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox.

I’m also on instagram @historianjen and twitter @McLarenJen.
